The ruby-hued 2012 vintage (4.5*) is from a tiny (0.4 ha), inland North Canterbury site, planted on a north-facing limestone ridge in 2003. Ruby hued, with a very floral, slightly herbal bouquet, it is mouthfilling and supple, with gentle cherry, spice, dried herb and nut flavours, showing impressive complexity and harmony. A ‘feminine’ style, it’s very silky and seductive; drink now onwards.
