From ‘fully botrytised’ grapes, the 2011 vintage (3.5*) is a single-vineyard wine, hand-picked in the Awatere Valley at 42.5 brix and handled without oak. It’s a very good late-harvest style, gently honeyed, with strong, citrusy, peachy flavours, showing plentiful sweetness (226 grams/litre of residual sugar) and a rounded finish.
