The 2009 (3.5*) is a distinctive, estate-grown Matakana blend of Cabernet Franc (46 per cent), Pinotage, Malbec and Merlot, barrel-aged for 18 months. Full-coloured, it has vibrant blackcurrant, plum and spice flavours, tinged with sweet oak, fresh, lively acidity and very good depth.
