In the Veneto, ‘ombra’ means ‘shade’ and ‘the first glass of wine’. This non-vintage wine is a sparkling rosé, blended from Waiheke Island Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Very pale pink, it is full-bodied, crisp and lively, with gently sweet citrus-fruit, orange and spice flavours.
