Oyster Bay Botrytised Riesling (2009)

The 2009 vintage (5*) is the first since 1999. From 14-year-old vines in the original Oyster Bay Vineyard, it was harvested in winter (between 4 June and 25 June). The bouquet is invitingly scented, with apricot and honey notes; the palate is strongly botrytis-affected, with lovely richness of peach, apricot and honey flavours, showing bottle-aged complexity, and a deliciously rounded finish.
