Nga Waka Martinborough Pinot Noir (2011)

The latest vintages are the best yet. The 2010 (4*) is deeply coloured and fresh-scented, with a subtle seasoning of oak, gentle tannins and loads of vibrant, cherryish, plummy flavour. Youthful but approachable, the 2011 (4*) is full-coloured, mouthfilling, sweet-fruited and supple, with generous cherry, plum and spice flavours, savoury notes adding complexity, and the depth and structure to age. Best 2014+.
