From ‘a block on limestone slopes at the back of the property’, the 2012 vintage (4.5*) was hand-picked, fermented with indigenous yeasts, matured for 16 months in French oak barrels (40 per cent new), and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Certified organic, it is full-coloured, mouthfilling and youthful, in a refined, very graceful and distinctly savoury style. Finely textured, it has deep cherry and plum flavours, showing excellent complexity and harmony. Best drinking 2016+.
