The pale gold 2010 vintage (5*), grown in Gisborne, was hand-harvested from ‘a lower river terrace at the east end of the Te Arai Vineyard’ and barrel-fermented. Decadently rich and soft, with lush, peachy, spicy, honeyed flavours, an oily texture and abundant sweetness (180 grams/litre of residual sugar), it’s very hard to resist.
