Matariki Les Filles Cabernet Sauvignon (2009)

The debut 2009 vintage (4.5*) was estate-grown and hand-picked in the Gimblett Gravels, Hawke’s Bay, and matured in French oak barriques. Deeply coloured, it is a powerful, youthful wine, full-bodied, with very generous, ripe, brambly, plummy, spicy flavours, strongly seasoned with nutty oak, and gentle tannins. Drink now or cellar.
