Framingham Select Riesling (2012)

The 2011 vintage (5*) was estate-grown in Marlborough and hand-harvested on 1 April at 22 brix, with no botrytis. Full-bodied (although only 8.5 per cent alcohol), with rich, ripe citrus and stone-fruit flavours, it shows lovely delicacy, freshness and harmony. ‘Inspired by the German Spätlese style’, the 2012 (5*) is lemon-scented, with intense, citrusy, slightly peachy flavours, gentle sweetness (60 grams/litre of residual sugar), lively acidity, and lovely freshness, purity, vigour and depth. Best drinking 2015+.
