Here’s an excellent chance to buy a bottle-aged Riesling. The 2008 vintage (4.5*) is a medium style (29 grams/litre of residual sugar), handled in tanks and old oak casks. Bright, light lemon/green, it has rich, citrusy and limey, gently honeyed flavours, developing good, bottle-aged complexity. Very lively and tangy, it’s delicious now.
