Tohu Rore Reserve Marlborough Pinot Noir (2010)

The 2010 vintage (4.5*), estate-grown in the Awatere Valley, is a barrel selection from two blocks. Deep ruby, it is full-bodied (14.5 per cent alcohol), very elegant and supple, with strong, cherryish, plummy, spicy flavours, ripe and savoury. Best drinking mid-2012+. (There is also a single block, ‘Limited Release’ version from 2010, very deep, ripe, nutty, savoury and age-worthy.)
