BioGro certified, the finely poised 2009 vintage (5*) is a late-harvest style, grown in the Corners Vineyard, in the Wairau Valley, and fermented with indigenous yeasts in seasoned oak barrels. Highly scented, with a citrusy bouquet, it is light (9.5 per cent alcohol) and rich, with a hint of sherbet, lovely freshness and depth of lemon and apricot flavours, abundant sweetness (143 grams/litre of residual sugar), good acid spine, and real complexity. It should be long-lived.
