Neudorf Moutere Riesling (2011)

A copybook cool-climate style with excellent intensity, estate-grown at Upper Moutere. The 2010 vintage (4.5*) is medium-sweet, light-bodied and racy, with lemon/lime flavours showing excellent intensity. The 2011 vintage (5*) was hand-picked in the Rosédale Vineyard and fermented in tanks (90 per cent) and barrels (10 per cent). A classic, medium-sweet style (49 grams/litre of residual sugar), it is intense and finely poised, with vivacious, ripe lemon and lime flavours, hints of honey and marmalade, real drive across the palate and a minerally, long finish. Best drinking 2014+.
