The 2010 vintage (4*) was grown at the Fareham Lane junction of the Wairau and Waihopai valleys, hand-picked and fermented with indigenous yeasts in tanks (60 per cent) and seasoned French oak barriques (40 per cent). Drinking well now, it’s a dry wine (3 grams/litre of residual sugar), ripely perfumed and mouthfilling, with an oily texture and peachy, gently spicy and gingery flavours, showing good complexity.
