Dressed in a label that celebrates the 25th anniversary of Hunter’s pioneering wine competition success in London in 1986, the 2011 vintage (4.5*) was estate-grown at Rapaura and partly barrel-fermented. Full-bodied and dry, it is an age-worthy, tightly structured wine, weighty and tropical fruit-flavoured, with a subtle oak influence, good complexity and a smooth, slightly buttery finish. Best drinking mid-2013+.
