The golden, fleshy 2008 vintage (4.5*) is a rich, complex, Sauternes style, hand-picked and fermented and matured for six months in old French oak barriques. Mouthfilling (although only 9 per cent alcohol), with a fragrant, honeyed bouquet, it has an oily texture and lovely depth of sweet (230 grams/litre of residual sugar), very ripe, apricot-like flavours, enriched by noble rot.
