Weeping Sands Waiheke Island Pinot Gris (2011)

The debut 2010 vintage (3.5*) was hand-picked in the Edbrooke Vineyard and made in an off-dry (5 grams/litre of residual sugar) style. Floral, with pear and spice aromas, it is mouthfilling, with very good depth of vibrant, citrusy, slightly appley and spicy flavours. The 2011 (3.5*) is mouthfilling and youthful, with fresh, pure peach, pear and spice flavours and a dryish finish. Open mid-2012+.
