Voss Martinborough Pinot Noir (2009)

Voss is a small winery with a big, instantly likeable Pinot Noir. The 2009 vintage (4*) was hand-picked on the Martinborough Terrace from vines up to 22 years old, matured for a year in French oak barriques (15 per cent new), and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Ruby-hued, it is sweet-fruited and finely textured, with fresh cherry, plum, spice and nut flavours, showing good complexity. It’s already delicious.
