Powerful and densely coloured, the 2007 vintage (5*) was hand-picked in The Triangle from low-cropped vines (2 tonnes/hectare), fermented with indigenous yeasts, and matured for 20 months in French oak barriques (35 per cent new). It’s a highly concentrated red with ripe blackcurrant, herb and plum flavours showing excellent density, structure and cellaring potential. Still on sale, it’s drinking superbly now.
