Escarpment Martinborough Pinot Gris (2009)

This distinctive, ‘Burgundian-inspired’ Pinot Gris is barrel-fermented. The 2009 vintage (5*) was delicious from the start. An authoritative wine, it is fleshy and rich, with concentrated stone-fruit and pear flavours, finely integrated oak and a finely textured, smooth (5 grams/litre of residual sugar) finish. Drink now or cellar.
