The 2011 vintage (4.5*) was estate-grown in the Awatere Valley and mostly handled in tanks; 10 per cent was fermented in seasoned oak barriques. It’s an intensely aromatic wine, punchy and crisp, with gooseberry, passionfruit and lime flavours, slightly nettley and nutty, good complexity and a dry, lingering finish.
