The 2009 vintage (4*) is the fruit of a partnership between grower Murray McPhail and winemaker Nick Nobilo, of Vinoptima. It’s a full-bodied, medium style (15 grams/litre of residual sugar), with ripe flavours of quince, peach and ginger, a distinct spiciness, fresh acidity and excellent depth. A youthful, finely balanced wine, it should mature well.
