The elegant 2020 vintage (4.5*), from an Onetangi-based producer, is a blend of Cabernet Franc (50 per cent) and Merlot (50 per cent), with a 'subtle' oak influence from maturation in one and two year-old barrels. Full-coloured, with fresh berry and spice aromas, it is mouthfilling, lively and smooth, with very generous, ripe blackcurrant, plum and spice flavours, and savoury notes adding complexity. Already enjoyable, it should be at its best 2025+.
