Grown on Waiheke Island, the debut 2019 vintage (5*) was hand-harvested at Onetangi and matured in French oak barriques (70 per cent new). A youthful blend of Merlot (50 per cent), Cabernet Franc (25 per cent) and Malbec (25 per cent), it is full-coloured, mouthfilling and supple, with generous, ripe blackcurrant, plum, berry and spice flavours, concentrated and smooth. Likely to be long-lived, it should be at its best for drinking 2024+.
