Villa Maria Cellar Selection Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc (2021)

Typically of a high standard, this great-value wine is blended from Wairau Valley and Awatere Valley grapes, and fermented and lees-aged in tanks. Still youthful, the pale lemon/green 2021 vintage (4.5*) is weighty, mouthfilling and vigorous, with strong, ripe, tropical fruit flavours, threaded with fresh acidity, and a very harmonious, dry, lingering finish. Best drinking mid-2022+.
