Valli Bendigo Vineyard Central Otago Pinot Noir (2020)

The very classy 2020 vintage (5*) is a deep ruby, fragrant, sweet-fruited wine. Mouthfilling, it has strong cherry, plum and spice flavours, complex and savoury, and the gracefulness that is a trademark of the Valli reds. Concentrated and well-structured, it should be long-lived; best drinking mid-2023+. The powerful, rich, sweet-fruited 2019 vintage (5*) was hand-picked, matured in French oak barriques (30 per cent new), and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Deep ruby, it is extremely youthful, with a strong surge of vibrant, plummy, spicy flavours, a hint of liquorice, fresh acidity, and good tannin backbone. Best drinking 2023+.
