Made from "the wines left once the blending of our top reds has been completed," the 2019 vintage (4.5*) offers great value. A blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, it was grown in the Gimblett Gravels, Hawke's Bay, and barrel-matured for 18 months. Deeply coloured, it is mouthfilling, concentrated and well-structured, with deep, ripe blackcurrant and spice flavours, seasoned with nutty oak, and a fragrant bouquet. Drink now or cellar.
