'Made to be enjoyed while young', the very attractive 2020 vintage (4*) was grown in the Gimblett Gravels, blended with a splash of Viognier, and aged in stainless steel tanks, with brief exposure to seasoned French oak. It has deep, purple-flushed colour and a floral, spicy bouquet. Fresh and supple, it is medium to full-bodied, with strong, ripe plum, berry and spice flavours, and some savoury notes adding a touch of complexity. 'Pinot Noir lovers would enjoy this', I jotted down. Best drinking mid-2022+.
