Already delicious, the 2020 vintage (4.5*) was estate-grown in the Gimblett Gravels, and matured in tanks and small French oak barrels. Deeply coloured and purple-flushed, with a fragrant, fresh bouquet, it is mouthfilling and fruit-packed, with rich, very ripe, plummy, spicy flavours, a hint of dark chocolate, considerable complexity and supple tannins. Well worth cellaring, it should be at its best 2023+.
