Terra Sancta Slapjack Block Bannockburn Pinot Noir (2019)

From the oldest vines in Bannockburn, planted in 1991, the 2019 vintage (4.5*) was hand-harvested and oak-aged for 20 months, initially in French oak barriques (20 per cent new), then for the final six months in 'larger format oak'. Ruby hued, it is fragrant and moderately rich, with gentle, very savoury and nutty flavours, enlivened with fresh acidity, and ripe, supple tannins. Drink now or cellar.
