Already highly enjoyable, the 2019 vintage (4.5*) was estate-grown on the edge of the Kawarau River, hand-harvested, matured in French oak puncheons (23 per cent new), and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Ruby hued, it is fragrant, mouthfilling and savoury, with strong cherry, plum, spice and nut flavours, showing very good complexity, and supple tannins. Best drinking 2023+.
