Terra Sancta Jackson's Block Bannockburn Central Otago Pinot Noir (2019)

From vines planted in 1991 and 1995, the finely textured 2019 vintage (5*) was estate-grown, hand-harvested, matured in French oak casks (15 per cent new), and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Full, bright ruby, it is is mouthfilling and savoury, with hints of spices and herbs, impressive complexity, supple tannins, and plenty of personality. The 2018 vintage (5*) of this single-block red was hand-picked, matured in French oak casks (20 per cent new), and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Full, bright ruby, it is a generous wine, fragrant, savoury, ripe and complex, with concentrated cherry, plum and spice flavours, and a well-structured, harmonious, long finish. Very age-worthy, it's well worth cellaring to 2023+.
