Te Kairanga John Martin Martinborough Pinot Noir (2020)

This typically impressive red is based on the 'best vineyard parcels'. The 2020 vintage (5*) was matured for 10 months in French oak barrels (18 per cent new). Deep ruby, it is mouthfilling and sweet-fruited, with concentrated cherry, plum and spice flavours, showing excellent complexity. A very generous, youthful, ripe-tasting and supple red, it's well worth cellaring to 2024+.
