The bright pink 2022 vintage (4.5*) is 'not a rosé. It is a white wine made from red grapes.' Based on Gamay Noir grapes grown at Maraekakaho, in Hawke's Bay, it was lightly pressed, then cool-fermented and matured on its yeast lees for four months in stainless steel tanks. A distinctive, youthful wine, it is mouthfilling, fresh and lively, with strong peach, strawberry and spice flavours, a touch of tannin and a fully dry finish.
