Spy Valley Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc (2021)

Typically a very good buy. The attractive 2021 vintage (4.5*) was grown (partly in estate vineyards) in the Wairau and Waihopai valleys, and part of the blend was fermented in seasoned oak casks. Pale lemon/green, it is full-bodied, sweet-fruited and lively, with strong, ripe, tropical fruit flavours, a subtle seasoning of oak adding complexity, and a dry, lingering finish. Best drinking mid-2022+.
