Spy Valley Envoy Johnson Vineyard Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc (2016)

From vines planted in the Waihopai Valley in 1993, the 2016 vintage (5*) was estate-grown, hand-harvested, and fermented and lees-aged for up to a year in various oak vessels (ranging in size from 225 litres to 1200 litres). Bright, light yellow/green, it has a fragrant, complex bouquet. Full-bodied, it is still very vigorous, with deep, dry flavours and a crisp, resounding finish. Drink now-2023.
