The youthful 2019 vintage (4*) was estate-grown at Kumeu, in West Auckland, and matured for a year in French oak casks. Deep ruby, with a fragrant bouquet, it is medium-bodied and slightly earthy, with fresh, generous berry, plum and spice flavours, and a fairly firm finish. Showing good complexity, it should be at its best mid-2023+.
