Saint Clair Omaka Reserve Marlborough Chardonnay (2019)

This is typically a fat, creamy wine, weighty and rich, made in a bold, upfront style. Grown in the Southern Valleys – mostly in the company's vineyard in the Omaka Valley – it is hand-picked, fermented and lees-aged for 10 months in American oak casks, and given a full, softening malolactic fermentation. The 2019 vintage (4.5*) has a nutty, biscuity bouquet. Full-bodied, with concentrated, peachy, citrusy flavours, strongly seasoned with oak, it is youthful, with a rich, creamy-smooth finish.
