Renato Nelson Chardonnay (2019)

The powerful 2019 vintage (4.5*) was grown in Moutere clay soils, hand-harvested and fermented in French oak barriques (20 per cent new). Pale straw, it is fragrant, weighty and fleshy, with strong, ripe stonefruit flavours, toasty oak adding complexity, a hint of butterscotch, balanced acidity and a slightly creamy texture. Best drinking 2022+.
