Redmetal Vineyards Bridge Pa Triangle Block Five Hawke's Bay Albariño (2021)

An emerging star. The generous 2021 vintage (4.5*) was fermented and matured on its yeast lees for four months in stainless steel tanks, then bottled young. Bright, light yellow/green, it is attractively scented, mouthfilling and fleshy, with strong, ripe stonefruit and spice flavours, balanced acidity and a fresh, dry (3.2 grams/litre of residual sugar), harmonious finish. Enjoyable young, it's a drink-now or cellaring proposition.
