The classy 2019 vintage (5*) was grown in the Bridge Pa Triangle and on 'gravel sites protected by Roys Hill'. Hand-harvested, it is a blend of Merlot (60 per cent) and Cabernet Sauvignon (40 per cent), matured for 20 months in French oak barriques (partly new). Deeply coloured, it is mouthfilling, fleshy and rich, with a lovely spread of ripe blackcurrant, plum and spice flavours, hints of coffee and liquorice, savoury notes adding complexity, supple tannins and a finely structured, very harmonious finish. Already delicious, it should mature gracefully for many years.
