Nautilus Clay Hills Vineyard Marlborough Pinot Noir (2017)

Still unfolding, the 2017 vintage (5*) is a single-vineyard red, grown in the Southern Valleys and matured in French oak casks (33 per cent new). Full, bright ruby, it is mouthfilling and savoury, with concentrated plum, spice and nutty oak flavours, showing excellent complexity, good tannin backbone and a long future ahead. Best drinking 2023+.
