Already delicious, but still unfolding, the 2019 vintage (5*) is a single-vineyard red, grown on Chinaman's Terrace, at Bendigo, and matured for a year in French oak barrels (24 per cent new). Ruby hued, it is a mouthfilling, very savoury and supple wine, richly varietal, with ripe, cherryish, nutty flavours, showing excellent complexity, and a fragrant bouquet. Best drinking 2023+
