Misha's Vineyard The Starlet Central Otago Sauvignon Blanc (2021)

The 2021 vintage (4*) was estate-grown at Bendigo, in the Cromwell Basin. Hand-picked, it was mostly handled in tanks, but 46 per cent of the blend was fermented with indigenous yeasts in old French oak casks. Ripely scented, it is mouthfilling, with passionfruit/lime flavours, showing very good depth, delicacy and complexity, fresh acidity and a smooth (5 grams/litre of residual sugar) finish. Best drinking mid-2022+.
