The 2021 vintage (4.5*) was estate-grown and late-picked by hand at Bendigo, in Central Otago, with less than 5 per cent of the fruit botrytis-affected, and handled without oak. Pale straw, with an invitingly perfumed, spicy bouquet, it is light-bodied (9.5 per cent alcohol), with pear, lychee and spice flavours, showing excellent delicacy and vibrancy, and a sweet (131 grams/litre of residual sugar), soft finish. Delicious young.
