Marsden Bay of Islands Black Rocks Chardonnay (2020)

Grown at Kerikeri, this Northland wine is impressive in favourably dry seasons – powerful and sturdy, with concentrated, ripe, sweet-fruit flavours, well seasoned with toasty oak, in a typically lush, upfront, creamy-smooth style. The 2020 vintage (4.5*) was fermented and lees-aged in French oak barriques. Light yellow/green, it is fragrant and weighty, in a bold style with rich, peachy, buttery, toasty flavours and a well-rounded finish.
