Mahi Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc (2021)

Still very youthful, the 2021 vintage (4.5*) was mostly handled in tanks; the ripest, hand-picked fruit (19 per cent of the blend) was barrel-fermented with indigenous yeasts. Bright, light lemon/green, it is a freshly aromatic, vigorous wine with good intensity, complexity and structure, mouth-watering acidity and a tangy, bone-dry (less than 1 gram/litre of residual sugar) finish. Best drinking mid-2022+.
