Leveret Estate Marlborough Pinot Noir (2019)

French oak-aged for a year, the 2019 vintage (3.5*) is a bright ruby, mouthfilling red, with good depth of fresh plum and spice flavours, hints of herbs and nuts, lively acidity, savoury notes adding complexity and a fairly firm finish. Retasted in mid-late 2021, it is developing well and likely to be at its best 2023+.
