Lawson's Dry Hills Reserve Marlborough Chardonnay (2020)

Offering great value, the finely structured 2020 vintage (5*) was estate-grown in the Chaytors Road Vineyard, near the coast in the Wairau Valley, and fermented with indigenous yeasts in French oak barrels (22 per cent new). Full-bodied, with a slightly smoky bouquet, it is an immaculate wine, with ripe stone-fruit and spice flavours, showing excellent delicacy, complexity and depth. Still very youthful, it's well worth cellaring to 2023+.
